Rangers already have next signing lined up after Mikey Moore deal at Ibrox

Rangers may not stop at signing Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham this transfer window.

The Gers announced the Spurs youngster’s arrival at Ibrox on Friday (1 August), but it’s still subject to international clearance due to his age.

Russell Martin may have to wait before giving Moore his debut, with the Light Blues facing Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday (2 August).

The Glaswegian outfit seem to be wasting no time in bolstering their forward line before the end of August, and could potentially have set their sights on their next target.

Oliver Antman could be next Rangers transfer target

Go Ahead Eagles forward Oliver Antman may be on the Gers’ radar next, Joshua Barrie says.

The Scottish journalist believes the Light Blues could make a move for the 23-year-old winger now that Moore’s arrival at Ibrox has materialised.

Antman has emerged as an option for Kevin Thelwell and the Glaswegian outfit’s recruitment team, and fans will certainly be keeping an eye on how the situation unfolds in G51 as the transfer window enters its final weeks.

Speaking on The Rangers Review (1 August), Barrie said: “Antman… could be the next player that Rangers move for now that this Moore deal is done.”

Moore and Antman comparison: What can Martin get at Ibrox?

Go Ahead want more than £5million for Antman amid interest from the Gers, and it remains to be seen whether they can seal a deal for a permanent transfer.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in the Eredivisie.

If the Light Blues do sign the Finland international, they will definitely be getting someone capable of making an impact on the right wing.

Moore’s arrival at Rangers is temporary, and even though he’s capable of producing sensational moments despite his young age, the Englishman will return to Tottenham at the end of the season.

Antman and the 17-year-old are both right-footed wingers, but are capable of playing on both flanks, and will undoubtedly give the likes of Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama competition for a place in the starting lineup.

The Go Ahead forward is more direct with his play, focusing on creating chances and making key passes, while the Spurs loanee uses his exciting dribbling skills to good effect.

Moore may be able to give the Ibrox faithful some exceptional moments for a season, but Antman could potentially put in consistent game-changing performances for years to come if he signs for the Glaswegian outfit permanently.
