How much Mikey Moore’s loan move to Rangers could cost Cavenagh and 49ers
Rangers have completed the loan signing of Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore.
Moore, 17, was one of the few positives for Tottenham last season as he benefited from Spurs’ awful injury record.
The North London side decided that it would be best for their young striker to head out on loan this season, and Rangers have forced their way to the front of the queue for the England under-19s international.

Moore won’t cost Rangers much
Russell Martin has been instrumental in attracting transfers from England.
He has utilised Sheffield Wednesday’s uncertain future to sign Djeidi Gassama on the cheap, and looks to have again been smart with the transfer of Moore.
According to estimations by Capology, Moore is on a base yearly salary of £260,000 for the 2025/26 season.
That equates to £5,000 a week, in a move that won’t break the bank for Rangers.
Games | Goal contributions |
55 | 39 |
- Moore contributed to 29 goals across 22 games for Tottenham’s under-18s
- He made his Premier League debut on 14 May 2024 in a 2-0 loss to Manchester City, becoming the youngest Tottenham player to play in the Premier League at the age of 16 years and 277 days
With his salary being so low, the Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises ownership will likely be covering all of his pay during the next campaign.
Martin has been keen to utilise the loan market so far this summer, having also recruited Nasser Djiga and Max Aarons on short-term deals.
It now remains to be seen how Martin will utilise Moore, who can play anywhere across the final third of the pitch but mainly plays as a left winger.

Moore will be good cover for Rangers
Moore is unlikely to slot straight into the Bears’ lineup, given Gassama’s fine form in preseason.
Despite reports of exits for Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers, the pair seem to be preparing to life in the light blue shirt next season.
Therefore, Moore will likely provide added depth across the forward line.
Gers must be careful to offer the 17-year-old enough gametime at Ibrox, with the potential that Tottenham could recall the winger should he be given limited minutes.
