Rangers now know what to do after Sunderland response to Triantis bid
Rangers have been linked with a move to sign Nectar Triantis this summer.
So far this summer, Rangers have done some tidy business on the recruitment front, though Russell Martin will still be hoping for more.
Sunderland’s Triantis had been linked with a move to Ibrox after impressing in the Scottish Premiership for Hibernian last season.
The Black Cats have turned down an approach for the Australian, and it should show the Light Blues what the next steps could be.

Derby County see seven-figure bid rejected for Triantis
Triantis’ name will cast memories back to the clash against Hibernian, when the Australian lunged into a challenge on Robbin Propper.
However, throughout the season, he gave an excellent account of himself in the heart of their midfield, which has attracted transfer interest from Rangers.

As per the Daily Record (31 July), Derby County have seen a £1.2million bid rejected for Triantis, who seems to have little to no future at Sunderland given the number of new midfield arrivals at the Stadium of Light.
For Rangers, it is clear what they must do now; they must launch a bid of their own.
A fee in the region of £2m could likely be enough to entice the Black Cats into a sale, which would be a bargain for the Light Blues.
Triantis could transform Rangers
At 22 years old, Triantis has years of development ahead of him, and he would be a shrewd signing for Rangers.
His ability in transition is second to none, and his versatility could also prove key if the Light Blues were to pursue a deal.
The Australian joined Sunderland as a central defender, but was very swiftly transitioned into a defensive midfielder throughout his time at Easter Road, and he could thrive under Martin.
