Moore to undergo Rangers medical in hours as Martin stance emerges

Rangers are closing in on the loan signing of Mikey Moore from Tottenham, with a medical now arranged.

Moore has turned down several clubs in England to join Rangers on loan, in what can be considered a coup given how highly rated he is.

Rangers have already made several other additions to their team, and the Spurs teenager will offer another attacking threat to the squad.

Russell Martin’s team is now shaping up nicely, and the new Rangers manager played a key part in bringing Moore in.

Moore Rangers medical booked

Moore is set to arrive at Ibrox imminently and will be able to settle into the squad before the Scottish Premiership season begins.

GiveMeSport (July 29) have now reported that Moore has agreed a deal to join, with a medical expected within the next 48 hours.

It is also reported that Martin had a major influence in luring Moore to Ibrox, and that he has been on his radar for a long time.

Spurs were initially hesitant to let Moore leave until they spoke to Rangers, and the two parties agreed on how his development can continue in Glasgow.

Martin’s stance over the player has now emerged, and he deserves credit for his role in bringing the teenager to Rangers.

Martin believes Moore can make instant impact

Martin reportedly believes that Moore can make an instant impact in the team despite his young age, and has long admired him, dating back to his time at Southampton.

Spurs may have also taken Martin’s appointment at Rangers into account when deciding Moore’s next destination, given that he has successfully integrated young players into his previous clubs.

With Djeidi Gassama also joining, it remains to be seen where Moore will play, but the right wing looks likely to become his position.

Martin was questioned when he joined Rangers, but he is clearly held in high regard by clubs in England, as a manager who can get the best out of the players he brings in.

Rangers fans will be excited by the addition of Moore, and will hope that a centre-forward can also follow him into the club.
