Russell Martin ruthless as six exits on cards at Rangers, Matondo and Nsiala out
Russell Martin has shown ruthlessness at Rangers, with Clinton Nsiala, Rabbi Matondo and four others not in his plans.
The Gers started reshaping their team towards the end of last season, with Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence and Ianis Hagi’s contracts expiring in G51.
Robin Propper has returned to FC Twente after an underwhelming year at the Light Blues, but more exits are expected.
Nsiala’s future at Ibrox remains uncertain after multiple additions in the backline, and he may be one of six exits from the Glaswegian outfit before the end of August.

Jose Cifuentes, Robbie Fraser, Ben Davies and Leon King also not in Martin plans at Rangers
Jose Cifuentes, Robbie Fraser, Ben Davies and Leon King, along with Nsiala and Matondo, aren’t part of Martin’s plans at the Gers, according to The Rangers Review.
The news outlet reports (28 July) that the six players are surplus to requirements at Ibrox and won’t have a part to play at any stage of the proceedings under the Scottish manager.

Wycombe Wanderers were linked with a move for King, but a potential transfer to the EFL League One outfit has collapsed.
It will be interesting to see how many of these players the Light Blues can offload in the coming weeks as Kevin Thelwell looks to build a competitive team in G51.

Matondo and Cifuentes should be sold at Ibrox after loan spells
Matondo earns around £30,000 a week at Ibrox, and it arguably won’t be easy for the Gers to pay him off if no interest emerges.
The Wales international joined Hannover 96 on loan in the winter transfer window, but the winger is back in Glasgow after his stint in Germany.
Cifuentes was a key player for Aris last season, and it would make sense for the Colombian midfielder to complete a permanent transfer to Greece.
Matondo should cut his losses at Rangers and leave as soon as possible, as the forward’s career could be hindered at Ibrox.
Despite the evident need for more attackers at the Gers, the fact that Martin doesn’t trust the Welshman should indicate that his career in G51 is over.
As for the midfield, Cifuentes would be lucky to get a sniff in the team considering the quality of players at the Scottish manager’s disposal.
Only time will tell who will end up leaving the Glaswegian outfit in the coming weeks.
