Rangers are understood to be closing in on the signing of Tottenham winger Mikey Moore.

Russell Martin is keen on more forward-thinking options despite signing Djeidi Gassama this summer.

Moore impressed at Spurs last season but is expected to get more game time at Ibrox.

Mikey Moore turns down several Championship clubs

According to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge (28 July), Moore is expected to join Rangers on a season-long loan deal.

This deal will not include an option to buy, and he will return to Spurs at the end of the season.

There were many clubs in the English Championship keen on signing Moore, with offers made. However, the 17-year-old turned them down.

The England Under-19s international fancies a move to Glasgow, and he’s expected to play in the Scottish Premiership in the upcoming season.

Moore is predominantly a left winger, but is capable of playing as a number 10 as well as a striker.

Rangers will strengthen their attack by signing Moore

Moore would be an excellent signing for Rangers due to his versatility, goal-scoring prowess and potential for growth.

His experience with Spurs’ first team has demonstrated his ability to perform at various levels.

His technical skill, pace and flair as a winger or forward make him a dynamic attacking option. At Ibrox, he could thrive in a competitive environment, gaining regular first-team minutes in the Scottish Premiership and European competitions.

His youth and adaptability align with Gers’ ambitions, offering immediate impact and giving Martin another option in attack.

The fact that he picked them over other English clubs means that he wants to compete for trophies and play in Europe, and he certainly will be arriving with assurances over his game time.
