Hamza Igamane reacts as Rangers exit officially confirmed, Raskin sends message

Rangers star Hamza Igamane is a wanted man this summer.

Igamane notched 12 goals and one assist in the Scottish Premiership last season after a £1.5million move from FAR Rabat.

That has led to significant interest in his services from the Premier League and across Europe, with Lille seemingly the favourites to sign the 22-year-old.

The Ibrox outfit could net a huge profit if and when a transfer is sorted, and Russell Martin could use that to reinvest in his squad.

Igamane reacts as Propper exit confirmed

One man who is leaving the Gers is Dutch defender Robin Propper, who has confirmed his return to FC Twente.

Taking to Instagram (27 July), the 31-year-old sent a message to Light Blues supporters, sharing an emotional farewell to Ibrox.

Igamane reacted by liking the post, and Nico Raskin sent a message to his former teammate, commenting with a heart and a praying hands emoji.

Rangers move never worked out for Propper

There were high hopes for Propper when he joined the Govan outfit, but his time in Scotland has not worked out.

He made 43 appearances for the Bears, but he never convinced that he could be a long-term option at the heart of the defence under Philippe Clement or Barry Ferguson.

He struggled to adapt to the Scottish game, and it is not a surprise that he has moved on, with Martin already signing several defenders.

The likes of Emmanuel Fernandez and Nasser Djiga have already come through the door at Auchenhowie, which further reduced the Dutchman’s chances of turning around his fortunes under the ex-Southampton man.

The Gers continue to be linked with Leicester star Conor Coady, which suggests that Martin still wants reinforcements in the position ahead of the new campaign.

Whether that deal is done remains to be seen, but the new majority ownership, the 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh have to secure their new manager the targets that he wants.

If they fail to do so, it could be a very long season for the supporters in G51 as their side tries to catch up to arch-rivals Celtic, who finished 17 points ahead of them last time out.
