Rangers ‘mega money’ claim emerges for Hamza Igamane transfer at Ibrox

Rangers have the opportunity to make a massive profit on Hamza Igamane at Ibrox this summer transfer window.

LOSC Lille have identified the Morocco international as a concrete target for several weeks now, but they haven’t been able to come to an agreement with the Gers over a fee.

Igamane missed the fixture against Middlesbrough on Saturday (26 July) in the 2-2 draw at Ibrox due to a slight fitness issue.

A number of other suitors have emerged for the 22-year-old centre-forward, and the Glaswegian outfit may need to reach a certain valuation to make the most from his sale.

Igamane transfer needs to be over £15m to be considered good deal at Rangers

Igamane must be sold for over £15million for it to be considered a “good deal” for the Gers, Stevie Clifford says.

The founder of Four Lads Had a Dream feels the Moroccan striker’s mega-money transfer away from Ibrox should be above the aforementioned fees.

Clifford believes the Light Blues will arguably need to sign a new number nine if they do sell the 22-year-old before the end of August.

Speaking on The Rangers Review (27 July), Four Lads said: “If I’m getting mega money for Igamane, and I’m talking got to be above £15m before I even start to consider that being a good deal. If that happens, you really want a number nine.”

Russell Martin should ask for Igamane replacement before Ibrox sale

Danilo didn’t make the most of his opportunity against Panathinaikos, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him getting dropped from the starting lineup in Athens.

The Gers face the Greek outfit in the second leg on 30 July after winning 2-0 at Ibrox, with goals from Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama.

Russell Martin seems to have Igamane in his plans for now, but it remains to be seen whether any team will match the Light Blues’ asking price for the centre-forward this summer.

Rangers also have Cyriel Dessers in their ranks as the Scottish manager hopes for a successful season in G51.

Additions in the number nine position seemed like a priority for the Gers at the start of the ongoing transfer window, but it looks like they are satisfied with their options for now.

If Dessers and Igamane stay at the Light Blues, Martin will arguably have nothing to worry about despite Danilo’s consistent fitness issues over the years.

The Morocco international’s situation will be one to keep an eye on, though, and only time will tell if he will leave Ibrox this summer.
