Neil Lennon raves about Rangers player as deal done – ‘He’s very good’
Neil Lennon is looking to play a positive role in developments at Rangers.
Russell Martin’s squad is beginning to take shape ahead of the new Scottish Premiership campaign.
The Gers got off to a flying start in their Champions League qualifying fixture, defeating Panathinaikos 2-0 on Tuesday (22 July) at Ibrox.
Amid all the exciting incomings for Rangers, it is young goalkeeper Mason Munn who has caught the eye of Celtic legend Lennon.

Lennon waxes lyrical about Mason Munn
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi could be the latest addition to Martin’s squad, with the 49ers prepared to break the bank to bring the talented youngster to Ibrox.
Despite this, it was 19-year-old goalkeeper Munn who Lennon chose to rave about.
The teenage shot-stopper recently linked up with Lennon at Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Championship ahead of a one-year loan deal.
Lennon took over at Dunfermline back in March and helped the club avoid relegation before penning a new two-year deal at the club.
Speaking about Munn to The Courier (27 July), Lennon said: “He’s very good, he’s got good size and he’s a good shot-stopper. He is very talented, and he needs to play.
“I like his size. We’ve worked with big goalkeepers before, and sometimes they make saves other goalkeepers can’t make.”
Lennon continued, “We’re pleased to have him and I think he’s pleased to be here – and hopefully it’s a marriage of convenience for both.”
Rangers were reportedly keen to let the 6’3″ Munn leave in order to gain more first-team experience.
The Northern Ireland U21 internationalist made his Rangers debut last season with a clean sheet in the 5-0 victory over Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup in January.
But after Jack Butland’s impressive performance against Panathinaikos, the path to the first team looks tricky for Munn as of now.

Rangers wise to let Munn leave on loan
Although Rangers supporters won’t be thrilled that their youngster’s development is in the hands of a Celtic legend, if Munn returns from a successful loan spell ready for the first team, it will all be forgotten.
The prospect of Lennon helping to develop a player who could thwart Celtic in the years to come is a hilarious prospect for those in G51, and it may soon become a reality.
Martin will be hoping to shift some other players well, but on a permanent basis, to help free up funds to potentially sign Rak-Sakyi.
Jose Cifuentes, Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies and Ridvan Yilmaz are some of the big earners who need to be moved on.
