Rangers set to anger fans as Ibrox chiefs to sign off on goalkeeper exit
Rangers fans aren’t happy about the prospect of loaning any players to Dunfermline.
The Pars are managed by ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon, and the Ibrox faithful would prefer not to help him out in any way.
Despite these wishes, it looks as if a loan deal between the two clubs is going to be sealed soon.

Mason Munn loan to Dunfermline is now ‘close’
Mason Munn is a highly-rated 19-year-old who Rangers chiefs believe will have a big future in the game.
He’s unlikely to see any game time at Ibrox this season, though.
Even if Jack Butland leaves, he’ll likely be replaced by a new signing. That’s why the decision was made to send Munn out on loan.
Dunfermline have shown the most interest in using Munn, although news of this deal has angered Rangers fans on social media.
Rangers are pushing through with the deal anyway.
Chris Jack, a journalist for Rangers Review, has reported on social media that the deal is “close”.
Rangers believe loaning out the goalkeeper will pay off in the long term.
Dunfermline finished seventh in the Scottish Championship last season, showing no danger of a fight for promotion.
Still, Rangers chiefs will hope that Lennon will use Munn as his number one, giving him experience that could prove vital for his development.
Rangers fans should see the bigger picture on loans to rival clubs
Many football fans get upset about the idea of loaning a player to a rival team – or a team managed by a rival manager. It can feel like handing over weapons to the enemy.
Dunfermline have established themselves as an adversary to Rangers since appointing Lennon – and while the emotional reaction to doing business with him is understandable, it would be petty to let this affect a loan deal for Munn.

It’s likely that Lennon will have guaranteed regular minutes for Munn, or at least an opportunity for the youngster to prove himself.
That’s exactly what’s needed for him and Rangers right now.
This will sharpen the youngster skills, build his confidence and lead to him becoming a better goalkeeper for Rangers in the future.
That’s far more important than holding onto a personal rivalry with an opposing manager, no matter how strong the fans’ bitterness toward him may be.
