Rangers transfer round-up: Igamane urged to leave as Martin target signs elsewhere
Rangers will officially begin a new era under the management of Russell Martin on Tuesday.
Greek side Panathinaikos are set to visit Ibrox for the first leg of the Champions League second qualifying round, in what will be Martin’s first competitive match in charge.
New signings Djeidi Gassama, Joe Rothwell, Nasser Djiga and Max Aarons are expected to be involved, and several more could arrive before Rangers travel to Athens for the second leg next week.
Here, Ibrox News rounds up all of the latest transfer stories from the last 24 hours.

Rangers should sell Igamane
Hamza Igamane has been the subject of interest from several clubs this summer, with serious interest first arriving from Lille, and now Feyenoord.
Rangers have been resolute in standing by their valuation of the player, but former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has urged the Glasgow club to accept an offer.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun SPORT (21 July), Boyd said: “You can’t just keep hold of players and say we want this, we want that, because the reality is, players will just walk away.
“And the other thing is because of the player power nowadays, there’s a potential for players to start spitting out the dummy when you’re not letting them go.”
Rangers to miss out on Beck
Rangers had looked to be seriously interested in a move for Liverpool full-back Owen Beck.
The Gers were hoping to agree a deal for the 22-year-old, who spent last year on loan at Blackburn, but Martin’s side appears to have now missed out on the youngster.
According to John Percy (21 July), Derby County have agreed a deal to sign Beck on loan from Liverpool, with the defender to undergo a medical later this week.
Bacanin price tag revealed
Andrej Bacanin is a target for Rangers this summer, with Serbian side Cukaricki reportedly open to letting the midfielder go.
According to Edinburgh News, Celtic, Ajax, and Udinese are also interested in a move for the 18-year-old, who may be able to leave for £2.17m.
Bacanin is a regular for Serbia’s Under-19 team and made 10 appearances in the Serbian first division last season.
Fadera ‘to clear medical’
Alieu Fadera is reportedly a target for Rangers this summer, with the Como winger seeking regular game time.
Dr Rajpal Brar, exclusively told Ibrox News (21 July) that the winger would not face any issues passing his medical, despite some previous injury problems.
He said: “I do not see him facing any issues with his medical.
“However, it may take him a few weeks of first-team football to adapt to the Scottish league, given the changes in tempo and physicality.”
