‘Hamza Igamane to throw Rangers tantrum’ as mega transfer lined up

Hamza Igamane could potentially cause an issue at Rangers if a deal isn’t sanctioned this transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been attracting a lot of interest lately after his breakout campaign with the Gers, but the likes of LOSC Lille haven’t found an agreement at Ibrox.

Russell Martin expects Igamane to feature against Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualifier, but it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds.

Feyenoord are also considering a move at Ibrox, and the Light Blues may be better off selling the Morocco international soon.

Rangers should Igamane as Feyenoord ready club-record bid

Igamane could potentially throw a tantrum this summer if the Gers don’t approve his exit, Kris Boyd says.

The ex-Scottish forward believes the Light Blues have done their work with the 22-year-old centre-forward, and his exit would make sense for the player-trading model being spoken about at Ibrox.

Boyd urges the Glaswegian outfit to accept anything upwards of 10million for the Moroccan youngster and feels they risk players “spitting out the dummy” by delaying a departure.

Speaking on The Scottish Sun SPORT (21 July), Boyd said: “If you’re getting an offer for around the £10m mark, then you would like to think that in that short period of time you’ve done your work.

“And the player-trading model Rangers have spoken about, that’s the player-trading model. You brought someone in, they’ve done well, move them on and go and get the next one.

“You can’t just keep hold of players and say we want this, we want that, because the reality is, players will just walk away. And the other thing is because of the player power nowadays, there’s a potential for players to start spitting out the dummy when you’re not letting them go.”

Feyenoord are seriously interested in Igamane and are willing to make a club-record bid to sign him in the coming weeks.

It would undoubtedly make sense for the Bears to accept a mega offer for the 22-year-old whom they signed for relatively cheap from AS FAR last summer.

Martin should demand Igamane replacement before Ibrox exit

Martin could also lose Cyriel Dessers before the end of August, with AEK Athens eyeing a move for the Nigeria international.

The Scottish manager could potentially be without two of his best strikers at Rangers ahead of next season.

Vaclav Cerny was another forward who contributed admirably at Ibrox in the previous campaign, and his exit has left Kevin Thelwell scrambling for a quality right winger.

The Glaswegian outfit should first find a replacement for Igamane and then sell him if the right offer arrives, but how the situation unfolds remains to be seen.
