Rangers ready to beat Wrexham to Beck transfer as Liverpool make demand
Rangers are interested in a move for Liverpool starlet Owen Beck, with a deal now in the works.
Beck was outstanding on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship last season and was named as the club’s Player of the Season.
Rangers are in the market for a new left-back, as Ridvan Yilmaz looks set to depart, and Beck is seen as the ideal long-term option.
Several sides are interested in the Liverpool starlet, and the Premier League winners have now set their asking price as Rangers lead the way in the battle for his signature.

Liverpool want £10million for Rangers target Beck
Rangers are not the only club interested in Beck, as Championship sides Wrexham and Derby County are also keen on the defender.
However, the 22-year-old will not come cheap, and Liverpool have set an asking price potentially beyond what any of the interested parties could pay.
It has now been reported by Liverpool journalist David OCKOP (21 July) that Liverpool want £10million for Beck, but that Rangers are “progressing in talks” to sign him.

Rangers are seeking a compromise fee of closer to £7m, with Russell Martin keen on landing him on a permanent deal.
Liverpool would reportedly prefer to tie Beck down to a new deal and loan him out, but with Rangers pushing hard and the player keen on a permanent move, they are now open to letting him go.
Beck transfer would be a risk
Even if Rangers manage to secure a deal for closer to £7m rather than £10m, Beck would still become one of their most expensive players in history.
Although impressive last season, Beck made just 24 appearances in an injury-hit campaign, and spending this much on an injury-prone player is a massive gamble that Rangers may not be able to afford.
Reinforcements in attack should be prioritised over a premium left-back, even if Beck is a top talent who could be at Ibrox for the long term.
Rangers appear to be ahead of Wrexham in the race, but as a local to the area, the Welshman could be tempted to join the Championship side if they can match the fee the Gers are willing to pay.
