Feyenoord now want Igamane as fresh £13m Rangers exit twist emerges
Hamza Igamane could potentially be affected at Rangers this transfer window as Feyenoord enter the race.
The team managed by Robin van Persie want the Morocco international after his breakout season at the Gers.
LOSC Lille have been working on Igamane’s signing for some time now, with a £13million bid rejected by the Light Blues recently.
Udinese are also interested in the ex-AS FAR striker, and now a major twist has emerged in the 22-year-old’s transfer saga.

Lille haven’t made Igamane offer as Feyenoord join transfer race for Rangers striker
Lille haven’t made an offer yet for Igamane at the Gers amid interest from Feyenoord, according to Sebastien Denis.
The Foot Mercato journalist revealed on X (20 July) that contrary to some previous reports, the Ligue 1 outfit haven’t sent an official proposal to Ibrox for the Moroccan youngster, but it hasn’t been ruled out.
Competition (2024/25) | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Scottish Premiership | 33 | 12 | 1 |
Europa League | 10 | 4 | 1 |
Scottish Cup | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Premier Sports Cup | 2 | 0 | 1 |
It’s been claimed that the Eredivisie outfit are also in the lookout for the 22-year-old with Everton and Udinese, and Rennes have made him their top target to replace Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The centre-forward’s situation in G51 will be one to keep a close eye on as Russell Martin prepares for the upcoming campaign.
Martin will need Igamane replacement if transfer goes through
Igamane seems to want to leave Ibrox, having already agreed on personal terms with Lille.
It’s not surprising to see the 22-year-old wanting to move to the Ligue 1 outfit, as it could potentially be massive for his career.
While the Morocco international’s departure will undoubtedly be a bitter blow for the Gers’ fans, they will understand his apparent desire to leave.
Rangers could also lose Cyriel Dessers this summer, which will arguably pose a big issue for the recruitment department.
While Igamane’s potential exit will have a significant impact on Martin’s attacking options, the Nigerian striker joining AEK Athens will only amplify the need for more attacking transfers.
The Scottish manager will definitely need quality replacements if two of the Glaswegian outfit’s leading goalscorers from last season leave, but it remains to be seen what happens before the end of August.
