‘Rangers brace for second bid’ after Mohamed Diomande transfer approval

Mohamed Diomande is attracting attention away from Rangers this summer transfer window as a new offer is being prepared.

It isn’t surprising to see the Ivory Coast international being eyed by teams across Europe after an impressive debut season at the Gers.

Diomande’s future at Ibrox is one to certainly keep an eye on, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds in the coming weeks.

Besiktas are interested in the ex-Nordsjaelland star, and the Light Blues may soon receive a second bid after rejecting an offer of a little over £6.5million.

Besiktas set to raise offer to complete Diomande transfer from Rangers quickly

Besiktas are looking to raise their offer for Diomande and complete a transfer from the Gers quickly, according to Fotomac.

The news outlet reports (17 July) that the Turkish club’s coaching staff have given their approval for the 23-year-old’s arrival from Ibrox.

It’s been claimed that the Super Lig outfit have been tracking the Ivorian midfielder to bolster their engine room, but have seen their initial offer get rejected.

With negotiations still ongoing, only time will tell what the Glaswegian outfit decide to do with the former Nordsjaelland ace.

Diomande should be part of Russell Martin plan at Ibrox

Joe Rothwell and Thelo Aasgaard’s arrival at Ibrox this summer has reinforced the midfield department at the Gers ahead of next season.

While it looks like the Light Blues may be preparing for a few departures with the two players coming up from down south, they shouldn’t try to keep their best players for another year.

Real Betis are the latest team eyeing Nico Raskin, following interest from the Premier League.

Rangers can’t lose both the ex-Standard Liege midfielder and Diomande in the ongoing transfer window, as they hope to compete with Celtic.

Martin will certainly need the core group of players who proved their worth in the previous campaign to have the best chance at success in the coming months.

The Ivory Coast international still has three years left on his current contract at Ibrox, and it would make sense to keep him for another season before cashing in.

Besiktas seem adamant about signing the 23-year-old, but they will undoubtedly need to offer a fee that the Gers won’t be able to refuse.
