Conor Coady jets out as Rangers look to complete transfer
Leicester City centre-back Conor Coady is wanted by Rangers as they’re looking to shore up their defence this summer.
Russell Martin is a fan of the England international and is keen on bringing him to the club in the coming weeks.
Nasser Djiga has already joined on loan and is expected to be a regular, but Gers are still keen on Coady.

Conor Coady jets out to Austria with Leicester City squad
According to Leicester City FC Live journalist Josh Holland (17 July), the England international has travelled to Austria with the rest of the Foxes squad.
Despite Rangers showing an interest in Coady, he has not stayed back, with a deal not yet close to completion.
However, Gers can still register him for the Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos next Tuesday, even though he submits his squad on 17 July.
UEFA rules allow two players to be added to the side 24 hours before kick-off.
Rangers must now table a bid for Coady
Rangers must urgently submit a bid for Coady and finalise personal terms to secure his signature before he commits to Leicester City for the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old centre-back, with 10 England caps and over 400 appearances in England’s top leagues, brings vital experience and leadership to Gers’ defence, which conceded plenty of goals last season.
Competition | Appearances | Minutes Played |

The Englishman’s contract, in its final year and Leicester’s relegation make him a cost-effective target, with a potential cut-price deal due to his relatively high wages.
His desire to move to Ibrox, may make a transfer easier than first expected.
Delaying risks Leicester’s new manager Marti Cifuentes retaining him to bolster their Championship campaign, especially as they’ve already signed replacements.
Securing Coady now ensures Rangers bolster their squad for the critical Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos.
