‘Rangers to beat competition’ for Samuel Edozie loan transfer
Rangers must clear an obstacle to potentially sign Southampton forward Samuel Edozie this summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old joined Anderlecht on loan last summer and was a regular fixture in their team, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
Edozie has long been linked with a move to Ibrox, but the Gers’ recent attempt to sign him from the Saints was rejected.
Djeidi Gassama’s move from Sheffield Wednesday has been confirmed at the Glaswegian outfit, but they are in search of more wingers.

Edozie attracts interest in Belgian market as Rangers want loan transfer
Teams in Belgium want to sign Edozie amid interest from the Gers, according to The Rangers Review.
The news outlet reports (July 15) that the Light Blues will need to beat clubs from the Belgian Pro League to possibly secure the English forward’s loan at Ibrox.

Russell Martin has worked with the Southampton attacker, but it remains to be seen whether the Scottish manager will be able to convince him to join the Glaswegian outfit.
Supporters will hope Gassama can replace Valcav Cerny’s impact from the previous campaign, but the left side of the attack also needs reinforcements.

Edozie transfer interest not surprising at Ibrox
Crystal Palace forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is another option identified by the Gers to strengthen their attack ahead of next season.
It isn’t surprising to see the Light Blues turn their focus on bolstering the front line after multiple defensive and midfield additions.
Max Aarons, Emmanuel Fernandez and Nasser Djiga will provide much-needed stability at the back, while Joe Rothwell and Thelo Aasgaard have strengthened the engine room.
Rangers didn’t have a consistent player on the left side of their attack last season, with the likes of Ianis Hagi, Nedim Bajrami, and Hamza Igamane being deployed in the position.
The Gers could lose the Moroccan centre-forward this summer, with LOSC Lille wanting to sign him.
Kevin Thelwell has a massive task on his hands to provide Martin with a competitive team as they face Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualifier soon, but only time will tell whether Edozie will arrive before the end of August.
