Hamza Igamane ready to jump ship, ‘he’s not happy at Rangers’ – Ferguson

Rangers have been enjoying a spending spree this summer, but there’s still plenty of talk about who could leave the club.

Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers both scored a lot of goals for Gers last season, yet it has been suggested that both could leave to raise funds for new players.

At the same time, many fans and pundits say they should say. It seems as if no-one knows where the future lies for either of these players.

Ferguson predicts that both Dessers and Igamane will leave Ibrox this summer

Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson seems convinced that both players will be leaving Glasgow imminently.

In an exclusive interview with Ibrox News, he explained why their futures were likely to lie elsewhere.

He said: “[Igamane] has not played in a couple of the friendlies now, and that tells me he’s probably wanting to avoid injury.

“It gives the impression to me that he’s not too happy at Rangers, to be honest with you, and you can perhaps take that back to the end of last season when he wasn’t starting.

He’s not a happy bunny, and I get the feeling that the culture in Scotland plays a part in that. If he’s offered the chance to leave, I just feel he’d jump at it right now.

I think they could both go. You look at Dessers’ stats and they’re very good. Teams will look at that. At 30 years old, he still has a few years ahead of him. If Rangers can get £5m, they take it.

Igamane and Dessers sale will be judged on their replacements

It’s understandable that Rangers might want to sell a couple of first-team stars, especially if they aren’t rated by Russell Martin.

However, Igamane and Dessers have both played well and scored plenty of goals in a Rangers shirt.

It would be an intelligent move to sell them if they can recruit some better strikers, but that’s not always easy.

Rangers would need to find two new proven goalscorers, but it’s not always easy to attract these types of players to Scotland.

Jamie Vardy is one player linked with a move to Ibrox. He’s hardly the long-term solution though. Lawrence Shankland might have a coup on a free transfer, but Rangers seemingly weren’t interested in him.

It will be interesting to see if one or both of these players leave and who they are replaced with, as the Scottish Premiership season looms closer.
