Ridvan Yilmaz ‘green-lights’ Rangers exit as offer submitted
Ridvan Yilmaz could be on the chopping block at Rangers this summer.
The Turkish left-back featured 29 times for the Ibrox outfit last season but struggled to nail down a permanent place in the starting line-up.
That could prove to be the case again under Russell Martin, with Max Aarons, who is capable of playing on the left, already taking his number and Jefte also still around.
Besiktas are still interested in Yilmaz’s services, and a departure may make sense for all parties.

Rangers could lose Yilmaz this summer
Yilmaz has constantly been linked with a move back to his former club but so far nothing has materialised.
A report from Turkish outlet Fanatik (14 July) claims that the Gers star has given the green light to the deal, telling the Turkish giants: “If an agreement is reached with the club, there will be no problems for me.”
It states that the Istanbul outfit have submitted a loan offer to the Light Blues and are still waiting on an answer.
Yilmaz should move on from Rangers
Yilmaz should be a permanent fixture in the starting line-up, he has been in Scotland for three years but has failed to secure a berth in the team regularly.
A mixture of poor form and injuries has hampered him in his time in Govan, and it is the right time to move on, for the sake of his career and for the Gers.
With Jefte and Aarons potentially being ahead of him in the pecking order under Martin, he cannot afford to waste his career sitting on the bench.
For the Gers, a loan exit does not give them much benefit, they would be better seeking a permanent deal to boost the 49ers Enterprises‘ coffers in the transfer market.
Yilmaz is under contract until 2027, so they could get a decent amount for his services if they were to sell him, rather than allow him to leave on a temporary deal.
With his promising showings in his time in Glasgow, they could probably make a profit on the £5million that they initially paid for him, which would be a successful endeavour for the Bears as the player failed to truly settle at Auchenhowie.
