Rangers news round-up: Mbuyamba transfer ready as defender welcomes exit

Rangers’ business in the transfer window shows no signs of stopping at the moment.

The Gers have already made six additions to Russell Martin’s squad ahead of the new season, with the likes of Max Aarons, Thelo Aasgaard and Nasser Djiga arriving in Govan.

There are more incomings expected at Ibrox, but there will also be significant outgoings as the new manager shapes his squad in the market.

Here, Ibrox News rounds up the latest updates on the Light Blues on 15 July.

Lille table another Igamane offer, Rangers reject

Lille are understood to have tabled another bid for Hamza Igamane.

A report from the Daily Record (15 July, page 48) claims that French sources state that Les Dogues have offered the Gers a fee of £13million for the Moroccan.

However, it states Martin’s side are sticking to their £15m valuation, if they are to sell the 22-year-old.

Motherwell to price Rangers out of Miller deal

Rangers have been linked with Motherwell star Lennon Miller for a considerable period.

However, Daily Record journalist Keith Jackson believes that the Gers will be priced out of a deal by the Well’s demands.

He does not feel like they will be able to match the kind of offers that the Steelmen will receive from across Europe this summer.

Speaking on Hotline LIVE (14 July), he said: “Miller, I expect to be moving abroad. To be perfectly honest with you, the price that Motherwell hope to achieve in the transfer market this summer for Miller would be too rich for Rangers’ blood right now.

“I can’t see them matching the sort of offers likely to be tabled from whether it’s clubs in Italy that are very interested, and there might be some interest from Germany.

“I think that ship has sailed in terms of Miller for both Celtic and Rangers.”

Rangers ready transfer for ex-Chelsea man Mbuyamba

Rangers are looking to sign former Chelsea and Barcelona youth defender Xavier Mbuyamba from FC Volendam.

Fabrizio Romano reported (15 July) that the Gers are targeting the 23-year-old centre-back after the Dutch club put him up for sale.

He states that it would take an offer of £434,000 to seal a deal after he refused to renew his contract, and English clubs are also keen.

Yilmaz takes a stop closer to Rangers exit

Ridvan Yilmaz could be set to finally end his Rangers nightmare after three years at Ibrox, where he has struggled to maintain a starting berth.

A report from Turkish outlet Fanatik (14 July) claims that he has given the green light over a potential departure, should an appropriate bid arrive.

It states that the Istanbul team are waiting on an answer from the Light Blues after submitting a loan offer.
