‘Rangers to fulfil Russell Martin demand’ after De Jong transfer development
Rangers could potentially give Russell Martin what he wants at Ibrox with Luuk de Jong this transfer window.
The Gers have made several additions to their backline and midfield recently as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
De Jong is a free agent after leaving PSV Eindhoven and has been linked with a move to the Glaswegian outfit.
While the former Barcelona star’s arrival at Ibrox seems unlikely, the Light Blues may have an opportunity to fulfil the Scottish manager’s desire after the latest development.

De Jong not part of PSV training camp as Martin wants new striker transfer
De Jong won’t travel with PSV to Germany for their six-day training camp, according to Vandaag Inside.
The news outlet relayed information from ANP (14 July) regarding the Dutch centre-forward’s absence from the Eredivisie outfit’s training camp, with his future still open.
While the 34-year-old’s contract with the Eindhoven club has expired, he’s still working individually at their facilities.

It feels like De Jong has no intention of signing a new deal with PSV, giving the Gers an opportunity to pounce on his signature at Ibrox.
Martin wants Thelwell to sign a new striker at the Light Blues this summer, and they could potentially fulfil his demands by signing the Netherlands international.
Despite the 34-year-old’s age, his goalscoring abilities are evident, leading the line admirably for the Dutch club over the last few seasons.

Martin should push for De Jong after Cyriel Dessers exit
Martin could lose Cyriel Dessers to AEK Athens in the coming weeks, and the Glaswegian outfit will undoubtedly need a replacement for him.
It will arguably be difficult and costly to replace the Nigerian striker’s goal contributions at Rangers, but De Jong seems like a perfect candidate on a free transfer.
Hamza Igamane’s future at Ibrox is also uncertain, and the Gers may also need to replace his youthful potential in the team.
The 34-year-old seems like the right short-term option for the Light Blues as they look to rebuild a successful squad under Martin.
