Rangers news round-up: Propper exit twist as transfer unveiling ready
Rangers are pushing ahead in their preparations for the new season, both on and off the pitch.
Russell Martin’s side have started their pre-season ahead of the Champions League qualifiers with Panathinaikos.
They have also been busy in the transfer market, already bringing in seven players, including the likes of Max Aarons and Joe Rothwell.
Here, Ibrox News rounds up the latest updates from 14 July.

Rangers urged to complete Coady transfer
Rangers have been constantly linked with former Leicester defender Conor Coady.
The 32-year-old is understood to be keen on a move to the Glasgow outfit as a free agent, and the Gers have been urged to make it happen.
Derek Ferguson told Ibrox News (14 July) that it is vital that the Govan side get a deal for the Premier League veteran done.
He said: “He’s a leader and looks fit still, despite his age. It’s an absolute no-brainer. They’ve brought in some younger defenders who look more like project players, so you need leaders alongside them.
“It’s why James Tavernier will also have a part to play this season. Rangers have to get the mix right and Coady would be a brilliant signing alongside some of these others.”

Tavernier reacts as new transfer and investment confirmed
The Gers needed investment this summer before their takeover, but James Tavernier has reacted after a different club confirmed changes at the top and a new addition.
His former teammate from his Newcastle days, Andy Carroll, has been announced as a signing for Dagenham and Redbridge in the sixth tier of English football.
The ex-Liverpool and West Ham star took to Instagram (13 July) to confirm the move after the club was taken over by Qatari investors.
Tavernier liked the post.
Propper exit twist emerges at Rangers
Robin Propper is widely expected to leave Rangers this summer after an underwhelming campaign last time out.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a move to Eredivisie outfit FC Twente, but the move is in danger of stalling after a new twist.
A report from Tubantia.nl (14 July) says Propper is in talks with the Gers over compensation as they look to get rid of him.

Gassama set for Rangers unveiling
Djeidi Gassama is expected to be confirmed as a new Rangers signing shortly.
Mark Hendry (14 July) reports that the Sheffield Wednesday winger is set to become a Gers player.
He states that all paperwork has been signed off, and an unveiling could come on Monday, possibly in the evening.
