Rangers confirm Maclean transfer news as thank you message sent
Rangers Women are entering a summer of change following the 2024/25 season.
The Gers have already lost manager Jo Potter, who has taken up the top job at Crystal Palace after two years in charge.
Rangers are set to lose more key assets this summer, with Kirsty Maclean at the head of exit murmurs.
Maclean has excelled since breaking into the Rangers first team in 2022, winning the SWPL title in her first season before winning back-to-back domestic cup doubles.

Maclean departure to Liverpool confirmed
Rangers have now confirmed that Maclean has departed to Liverpool Women.
It was reported that the two sides were advancing in negotiations last week for a deal to move the midfielder to Merseyside.

Rangers’ official website announced the news on Monday (14 July), with Maclean adding: “It was an incredibly hard decision to leave.
“I think obviously being at the club for so long it means a lot to me.
“To leave was hard was but I feel like it was the right time for me to move on to something new.
“I will miss everyone at the club so much. I said to the girls they all mean so much to me and I mean it.
“It was really hard to leave but I am leaving with the best memories and it has been the best 11 years; I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to do it with.”
Rangers are entering a crucial rebuild
The departure of Maclean is another massive blow to Rangers after Potter’s move to Palace.
The Gers missed out on Champions League qualification last season after finishing third, six points behind Hibernian.
The new majority ownership in Govan, the 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh now have a major task on their hands to not only find a new manager, but also a star midfielder to replace one of their own.
