‘Cavenagh and 49ers to delight Rangers fans’ as Lennon Miller bid imminent

Kevin Thelwell could potentially pull off a massive transfer at Rangers with Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller.

The Gers have made some astute signings to their squad this summer, with the likes of Max Aarons, Emmanuel Fernandez, Nasser Djiga, Joe Rothwell and Thelo Aasgaard.

Lyall Cameron also moved to G51 from Dundee recently after agreeing to a pre-contract agreement with the Light Blues.

The Glaswegian outfit may be able to add to their Scottish contingent soon, with Miller being linked with a switch to Ibrox.

Miller bid expected in days amid Rangers transfer interest

Motherwell will receive a bid for Miller this week or next, his father has said.

Lee Miller revealed that there have been a lot of conversations in the background regarding the 18-year-old’s transfer this summer.

The young midfielder’s father also disclosed that “clubs are speaking” about the Scotland international’s potential move.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound (13 July), Lee said: “I think there will be a bid that comes in, if not this week, maybe next week. There’s a lot of talk behind the scenes, and the clubs are speaking together, and we’ll see what happens.”

While Miller’s father hasn’t named the Gers, the Ibrox faithful will undoubtedly be delighted if they make an offer for him.

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have shown some positive signs in the first few weeks since the US consortium’s takeover, and it will be interesting to see what they have in store for supporters before the end of August.

Russell Martin should push for Miller transfer at Ibrox

Wolves want to sign Nico Raskin this summer, and it would make sense for the Glaswegian outfit to sanction a move for the right bid.

Miller could potentially be the perfect replacement for the Belgium international at Rangers, and Russell Martin should push for it.

Even if the former Standard Liege midfielder doesn’t leave the Gers in the coming weeks, the 18-year-old’s transfer would arguably be a massive coup for them.

The Bears have mostly had a strong core of Scottish talent in successful teams of the past, and would undoubtedly send a statement by signing the Motherwell youngster.
