Djeidi Gassama sends four-word message as transfer officially confirmed

Djeidi Gassama is already the transfer saga of the summer for Rangers.

With the Sheffield Wednesday player already spotted in the Light Blues’ training gear this week, it is a surprise that a deal is yet to be announced.

Despite a deal being agreed and medical supposedly complete, Dejphon Chansiri is said to be holding things up as the Owls await a much-needed takeover in South Yorkshire.

Gassama has been left in the middle, although Russell Martin remains confident.

Sheffield Wednesday sign off on another transfer

Despite apparent difficulties surrounding Gassama, Anthony Musaba has managed to get a deal over the line to leave the Hillsborough club.

Also a winger, the Dutch star has moved to Turkey to join Samsunspor.

While Gassama waits to join Rangers, he has sent his well wishes to his former teammate, who was announced through several posts on Instagram.

Reacting to the news, Gassama wrote: “All the best, bro.”

Sheffield Wednesday get desperate

As players continue to leave Hillsborough, you can only feel sorry for what their passionate supporters are going through at this moment.

Danny Rohl has, at least, appeared to commit himself to sticking around, despite all the news at the start of the summer being about him moving on.

Of course, the German was linked with the Rangers vacancy before Martin was appointed, but it’s another Sheffield Wednesday figure who looks set to move, eventually.

Gassama was raised through the Paris Saint-Germain academy, and often displayed his silky skills and speed in the Championship last season.

With limited options available in the final third so far during pre-season, it will be a much-needed transfer once it gets made official.

Danilo scored against Barnsley on Saturday in a 1-1 draw, but with Oscar Cortes and Findlay Curtis as options out wide, more is seriously needed from Kevin Thelwell.

Musaba has sealed his move away, and Gassama will be waiting for his unveiling next.
