Done Deal: Rangers midfielder signs new contract as agent shares image
Rangers aren’t messing around this summer.
The Gers are in need of a drastically better season than last time around, having slumped to a second-place finish, 17 points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic.
This has seen the transfer window begin in ideal fashion with many signings joining Russell Martin through the door in Govan.
Now, a new deal has been confirmed by the Light Blues as the summer rebuild continues to roll on at Ibrox.

Rangers confirm deal as agent speaks out
It appears that the introduction of the 49ers and Andrew Cavenagh has resulted in a change in approach in the transfer market.
This has seen younger, cost-effective options come in as opposed to bigger-name signings like Nedim Bajrami, who flopped last campaign.
With that being said, there is every chance that the ex-Southampton boss comes in with an eye for utilising academy talents in G51.
This has seen 17-year-old midfielder Calum Adamson put pen to paper on a new deal after featuring regularly for the under-18s side last campaign.
Having also made appearances for the Scotland u19s side in their March camp, a new deal is wise from the Light Blues this summer.
In reaction to this news, the teenager’s agent, Elliott Fillingham, has spoken out via X (10 July) to congratulate his client.
He said: “Well done to Calum Adamson, who’s agreed a new two-year contract.”
Rangers confirm Adamson agreement
There is no doubt that the Gers are in desperate need of young talent in their first-team squad after many years without a true talent.
The most recent is arguably Ross McCausland, a fellow client of Fillingham, who has begun to struggle for form in the past 12 months.
Stat | Ross McCausland |
Appearances | 25 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 1 |
There will be hope that Adamson will secure a familiar break into the squad under Martin, after Barry Ferguson’s departure at the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see how the teen gets on next season and how his new contract impacts his future prospects in Govan.
