Rangers transfer round-up: Jamie Vardy update as Ibrox personal terms agreed
Rangers’ summer transfer window has really gathered pace in recent weeks.
The Gers have already added five new faces to Russell Martin’s squad ahead of the upcoming Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos on 22 July, but they are also facing up to the likely reality that they could lose several of their key men.
Hamza Igamane was left out by Martin for the recent pre-season opener, as the Moroccan continues to edge towards a move to Lille.
The 22-year-old’s likely departure has dominated the headlines at Ibrox in recent weeks, but Kevin Thelwell and Co. have still been busy working on plenty of deals of their own.
Here, Ibrox News rounds up all the latest transfer news coming out of the Govan outfit.

Rangers see bid rejected for Samuel Edozie
Rangers are understood to have seen a bid rejected for Samuel Edozie, according to BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella via X (8 July).
The 22-year-old is a long-term target for the Gers, and was also part of the Saints squad who won promotion to the Premier League under Martin back in 2023/24.
The wideman spent the majority of last season on loan at Anderlecht, and he notched three league goals and two assists as the Brussels-based side finished fourth in the Belgian top flight.
Other clubs are expected to join the race to sign the Southampton man, but at the moment it is Rangers who have materialised their interest.
Rangers reach agreement to sign Djeidi Gassama
Rangers have reached an agreement to sign Djeidi Gassama from Sheffield Wednesday, amid ongoing financial difficulties for the Championship side.
The winger has agreed personal terms ahead of a potential move, with the 21-year-old set to pen a four-year deal at Ibrox.
Gassama is understood to have said yes to a move north of the border, which means all that remains is for the two clubs to settle on a fee for the attacker’s transfer.
The French youngster will be an exciting addition to Martin’s squad, having struck seven league goals from the flanks last term.
Jamie Vardy deal thought to be unlikely
Jamie Vardy is now thought to be unlikely to join the Gers, according to Scottish Sun journalist Roger Hannah (8 July).
Vardy has departed Leicester after 13 seasons with the East Midlands outfit, and he had still been one of their key players at the age of 38.

There has been plenty of speculation as to where the frontman could end up playing his football next term, and links with a possible move to Rangers have refused to go away.
However, Hannah believes that the veteran is not a genuine target for Rangers, and as a result he views the deal as one which is unlikely to happen.
