Rangers to ‘seal late Rak-Sakyi agreement’ after £10m transfer latest
Rangers are interested in Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, but a deal could be difficult.
Rak-Sakyi has impressed on loan in the lower leagues of English football, with the 22-year-old last at Sheffield United under Chris Wilder.
Rangers are now looking to strengthen their attacking options, and the Palace winger could be a strong addition with plenty of resale value and future potential.
However, despite Rangers’ interest, any deal may have to wait until later in the summer, with demands of £10million already.

Palace want £10 million deal for Rak-Sakyi
Russell Martin has a keen eye on Rak-Sakyi, and many would have liked to see a potential loan deal for the attacker this summer.
However, it has now been reported by the Daily Record (July 9) that Palace would prefer a permanent sale to a loan, and want £10m.

Rangers have engaged in talks with Palace, but these have gone nowhere as they have been unable to agree on terms, and it is claimed that if a deal is to materialise, it would likely be towards the end of the window.
Rak-Sakyi spent last season on loan at Championship side Sheffield United and scored seven times in 34 league games.

Rangers cannot pay £10m for Rak-Sakyi
Even if Rak-Sakyi would be a good addition, Rangers cannot splash out £10m on him this summer.
Rangers look likely to receive up to £15m for Hamza Igamane, which should give them more spending power in the transfer market, but this needs to be spread around the squad.
Unless Palace significantly drop their asking price, Rangers should look elsewhere.
Although a big talent, Rak-Sakyi has not yet proven enough to justify such a huge outlay, as he would become one of Scottish football’s most expensive ever signings at that price.
Rangers need to repeat their success over Igamane, and sign players for low prices, who can make an immediate impact and leave for a profit, and a huge outlay on the Palace winger would not follow this model at all.
