Rangers’ transfer business is in full flow as Russell Martin overhauls his squad.

The former Southampton manager has already brought in the likes of Max Aarons, Joe Rothwell, Emmanuel Fernandez and Thelo Aasgaard to Ibrox.

However, their recruitment push is not expected to end there as they attempt to close the gap to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership next season.

Martin to continue Rangers spree as Ballo approach made

Martin looks set to continue his Rangers spending spree with left-winger Thierno Ballo.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg (9 July) claimed that the Gers are one of three clubs that have made an enquiry about the Wolfsberger AC star.

He stated that Mainz and Ajax are also trying to sign the Austrian international, who notched 10 league goals last season, with talks ongoing.

Rangers ready to raid Sheffield Wednesday again

Rangers are set to target another Sheffield Wednesday player after closing in on a deal to sign Djeidi Gassama.

A report from The Star (9 July) states that the Bears are considering bringing Josh Windass back to Govan.

It states that the English attacker, who was a Gers player between 2016 and 2018, has interest from the Scottish Premiership, EFL Championship and clubs in Germany.

Dessers keen on Rangers exit as bids rejected

Cyriel Dessers wants to leave Rangers and move to AEK Athens.

Sacha Tavolieri reports (8 July) that the Light Blues have rejected offers for the Nigerian forward.

The Sky Sports journalist revealed via his X account that the 30-year-old is keen on the move to the Greek outfit.

Rangers private talks on Vardy revealed

Rangers continued to be linked with Jamie Vardy after he left Leicester as a free agent.

Martin did not deny interest in Vardy when he was asked following the 2-2 draw with Club Brugge in the Gers’ first pre-season friendly.

Callum Crowe (9 July) claims that the Gers have privately refused to deny that they want the Premier League legend, amid interest from Manchester United.

In a report for the Scottish Daily Mail (page 65), he said: “Privately, Rangers are not denying they have an interest in the former Leicester City star and Premier League winner.

“The veteran forward is also on the radar of Manchester United and has various other options on the table from clubs in England.”
