Cyriel Dessers transfer green-light set as ‘Rangers scramble for replacement’
Rangers could potentially have to look for reinforcements in attack soon, as Cyriel Dessers is expected to leave this transfer window.
AEK Athens want the Nigeria international, but the Gers have so far not been convinced by the offers that have been made.
Hamza Igamane is another striker who could leave Ibrox in the coming weeks, with LOSC Lille pushing for his signature.
While the former Cremonese centre-forward is at the Glaswegian outfit for now, that may not be the case.

Rangers transfer to go ahead after delay as Dessers to join AEK
Dessers will be joining AEK this summer despite slight delays regarding a move from the Gers, Daniel Caw says.
The Daily Record journalist revealed that his colleague Andy Newport believes that the 30-year-old’s transfer to the Greek outfit is still going ahead.

Caw claims that the information coming out suggests that the Nigerian centre-forward is expected to make the switch from Ibrox to the OPAP Arena.
Speaking on Hotline Live (8 July), the journalist said: “On the Record Rangers podcast today, our esteemed colleague Andy Newport said that it’s his understanding that Dessers’ transfer to AEK is still going ahead. There’s been a slight delay, but as far as he knows, it’s still going ahead.”
Kevin Thelwell possibly waits for replacement transfer before Dessers deal is sanctioned
Sheffield Wednesday attacker Josh Windass has emerged as a target for the Gers and could be a replacement for Dessers at Ibrox.
The Owls’ leading EFL Championship goalscorer from last season could join teammate Djeidi Gassama in Martin’s squad this summer.
Girona striker Bojan Miovski, who spent some fruitful seasons at Aberdeen, is also on the Light Blues’ radar.
Rangers will need to scramble for attacking reinforcements in the ongoing transfer window if Igamane and Dessers leave.
Kevin Thelwell is working on further strengthening the defence after signing Max Aarons and Emmanuel Fernandez, and the midfield has also been bolstered with Joe Rothwell and Thelo Aasgaard.
Dessers’ goalscoring contributions have been pivotal over the years, but he isn’t a fan favourite, and it makes sense to cash in on the Nigerian attacker.
Only time will tell how long a possible deal between the Gers and AEK will take.
