Rangers submit bid to sign Samuel Edozie, Southampton chiefs respond
Samuel Edozie has been linked with a move to Rangers this summer.
Russell Martin has been backed heavily so far since his arrival at Rangers, with several additions massively improving the quality on his side at Ibrox.
However, their business is far from over yet, with plenty of other arrivals expected in the coming weeks, several of which will be attackers.
One of those to have been linked with a move to Ibrox has been Edozie, with an update emerging on his future at the Championship club.

Southampton reject Edozie bid
Rangers have made it clear that they hold an interest in signing Edozie this summer, and they have since made an official bid to sign the winger.
However, that bid is believed to have been rejected, according to a report shared on X by BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella.

The Light Blues are said to have held a long-term interest in the forward, with several other clubs expected to join the race for his signature.
The 22-year-old is expected to move on this summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Gers return with an updated offer.

Martin needs to be backed with attacking signings
Rangers’ business so far has been good, and certainly smart, though there is till a lot of work to be done if they are to compete with Celtic for domestic success.
Attacking arrivals are a must for the Gers, and those needs will only be amplified if either Hamza Igamane or Cyriel Dessers depart Glasgow in the coming weeks.
Vaclav Cerny’s replacement is yet to be found, though there is a case to be made that Edozie is the one to have been identified to address those concerns.
With that said, the 49ers have already showcased their willingness to back Martin in the market and will no doubt continue to do so until the very end of the window.
