Rangers agree deal to sign Gassama

With the future of Hamza Igamane in doubt at Rangers, Martin has been looking for potential replacements.

Now, according to the Daily Record (8 July), the Gers have struck a deal to sign Gassama.

Rangers have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old, with a four-year contract set to be signed.

Now, all that is left is for the two clubs to reach an agreed fee for the transfer, with Sheffield Wednesday currently in financial turmoil.

Gassama has the potential to be a star at Ibrox

Given his age, Gassama has already shown plenty of signs that he could be a great player in the future.

Now, Martin has a chance to harness this potential away from a chaotic club like Sheffield Wednesday.

At Ibrox, the winger could easily thrive in both the Scottish Premiership and Europe, given his skillset.

The fact that the 21-year-old can also play across the front line could make him useful if injuries or suspensions occur.

Now, the task will be to get Gassama up to speed with Martin’s tactics as soon as possible, ready for the upcoming Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos.
