Rangers ready lowball Rak-Sakyi bid as £10m Crystal Palace exit news emerges

Russell Martin is desperate for a new winger at Rangers this summer.

The Gers have been linked to a number of attacking reinforcements, with Hamza Igamane wanted by Lille.

Therefore, numerous players are being looked at, including Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The 22-year-old has now returned to the London club after a successful loan spell at Sheffield United last season.

However, the winger could now be on the move again this summer as Martin lines up a move.

Crystal Palace want £10m for Rak-Sakyi

As Martin prepares for the impending Champions League qualifiers, further reinforcements are expected at Ibrox, ready for the clash.

Joe Rothwell has recently become Rangers’ latest signing, joining from Bournemouth after a successful loan spell at Leeds United last season.

Now, Rak-Sakyi could become the Glaswegians’ seventh addition of the summer as Martin overhauls his squad.

According to the Sun on Sunday, page 59 (6 July), Palace want £10 million for the winger who is set to turn 23 years old this October.

However, Rangers are tempted to make a lower offer for the Englishman or even spring a loan switch for Rak-Sakyi in the coming weeks.

Rak-Sakyi could be a great buy for Rangers

If Rangers can tempt Palace to accept a lower offer for the winger, he could be an excellent buy this summer.

The 22-year-old had a solid season at Sheffield United in the 2024/25 campaign, where he netted seven times and picked up two assists.

Now, he could easily make the step up to the Scottish Premiership, where Martin will look to unlock his potential further.

On top of this, Ray-Sakyi is capable of playing on both wings, with his versatility only adding to his value.

Hopefully, Martin and Kevin Thelwell can negotiate a good deal for the attacker to get the signing over the line at Ibrox.
