Rangers to accelerate signing frenzy after £3.5m capture as three wingers wanted
Rangers have been on a spending spree in July, and this flurry of new signings looks set to continue.
Rangers have signed Joe Rothwell, Emmanuel Fernandez and Thelo Aasgaard already this month. This followed the capture of Max Aarons on loan.
The Glasgow side face Panathinaikos in the first leg of their Champions League 2nd qualifying round on 22 July, and these players will all be eligible to play in that match.
Better yet for Rangers fans, reports suggest that even more new faces could arrive by the time that match comes around.

Rangers eyeing three wingers from overseas
New manager Russell Martin has reportedly identified the wing as an area in need of major improvement for Rangers.
Former Luton Town star Aasgaard arrived for £3.5million and mostly operates from the wing, but Martin supposedly wants more depth in this position.
Rangers Review (5 July) report that he is eyeing three more wingers as the Gers look to fix a troublesome area.
Brazilian winger Weslley Patati is arguably the most exciting of these targets. The 21-year-old plays for Maccabi Tel-Aviv, having signed from Santos in 2024. Patati isn’t afraid to take on a defender and certainly appears to have an eye for goal, although the Israeli league isn’t of the highest quality.
Como’s Samuel Ballet is also in Martin’s sights.

Rangers could target more experienced players if they sell existing stars
This transfer frenzy is exciting Rangers fans, and it could get even more thrilling if one of their star players is sold.
There has been a lot of speculation suggesting Nico Raskin is leaving Rangers, with the club seeking a transfer fee of at least £17m for the Belgian.
Hamza Igamane could also be on his way out, and he could easily attract an eight-figure transfer fee as well.
Potential Rangers sales this summer | Value |
Nico Raskin | £17m |
Hamza Igamane | £15m |
Cyriel Dessers | £5m |
If these sales go through in the coming days, we might witness Rangers targeting more experienced wingers rather than up-and-coming young stars from overseas.
Conor Coady and Nasser Djiga are seemingly on the way to Ibrox. More players will surely follow. The way things are going, we could witness an unrecognisable Rangers XI take the field to play Panathinaikos.
It’s an exciting time to be a Rangers fan.
