Conor Coady update emerges for double Rangers transfer after Rothwell agreement
Rangers are now active in the transfer window, and more signings on top of Joe Rothwell could arrive in Glasgow in the coming days.
Rothwell is set to join from Bournemouth as an agreement has been reached to sign the former Leeds loanee.
Rangers are aiming to add a mixture of experience and younger quality to their squad, and could now turn to another former Premier League player.
Leicester City defender Conor Coady has been targeted for a move, and an update has now emerged over his future.

Rangers set to sign Rothwell and Coady
With a deal now agreed to sign Rothwell, seemingly out of the blue, it now appears that Rangers are also closing in on the signing of Coady.
Coady is set to depart Leicester following their relegation from the Premier League, and Rangers have targeted him as an experienced option.

With the new financial year beginning, Rangers are now pushing for more transfers to prepare Russell Martin’s squad for pre-season.
STV Sports presenter Ramon Bhardwaj has reported via X (1 July) that a deal for Rothwell is agreed, while the club are hopeful of adding Coady in a double signing to get the window moving.
Martin adding experience to his squad
While Rothwell and Coady are not exactly exciting blockbuster signings, both can slot straight into the spine of the team, and offer plenty of experience and leadership.
Rothwell earned plaudits on loan at Leeds last season as they won the Championship, and will bring technical quality to the middle of the park.
Coady has had a tough time since leaving Wolves, as he failed to settle at Everton and Leicester, but he would arrive as a former Premier League captain, and someone who could potentially marshal the defence.
Martin needs more signings through the door, but starting off the window with two central players coming in is a promising sign for the coming weeks.
Rangers need to rebuild their squad, and while young signings with resale value should be targeted, experienced players such as the English pair will have a vital part to play next season.
