Mohamed Diomande bombshell as £10m Rangers transfer offer made

Rangers could potentially lose Mohamed Diomande this summer transfer window, as an offer has been made at Ibrox.

The 23-year-old joined the Gers last summer and instantly became an influential player for them.

Everton have expressed interest in Diomande, but it remains to be seen whether the Light Blues will be willing to cash in on the midfielder in the coming weeks.

With Nico Raskin also of interest away from Ibrox, the Glaswegian outfit now have a massive decision to make as an offer has been made for the Ivory Coast star.

Besiktas make £10m transfer offer for Rangers midfielder Diomande

Besiktas have submitted an initial offer of around £10million for Diomande, according to Fussballeuropa.

The news outlet reports (30 June) that the 23-year-old is one of the Super Lig outfit’s targets this summer and are willing to spend a significant sum just a year after his arrival at Ibrox.

It’s been claimed that the Ivorian midfielder “could certainly” imagine a move to Istanbul, but it remains to be seen how the Light Blues will respond to the Turkish club’s offer.

Kevin Thelwell has a major dilemma on his hands as the Bears must cash in on players when the time is right, but also need a competitive squad for next season.

Russell Martin needs Diomande at Ibrox for next season

With Raskin being eyed by Wolves this summer, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Belgium international leave the Gers soon.

The 24-year-old’s current contract at the Light Blues expires in 2027, and unless he signs a new deal, the midfielder’s sale should be considered for the right price.

LOSC Lille want to sign Hamza Igamane from the Glaswegian outfit, and the Ligue 1 club have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the striker.

Rangers could potentially lose multiple key players in the coming weeks, but must ensure they don’t deplete too much quality from their squad.

Russell Martin can’t lose Diomande and Raskin in the same window, and the Ivorian star should be the one they keep hold of.

The 23-year-old still has three years left on his deal at the Light Blues, and his value will undoubtedly only go up if he continues to perform well at Ibrox.

While the Bears’ player-trading model has to improve under the new ownership, they can afford to keep the former Nordsjaelland ace for another season.
