Rangers ‘to banish Morelos nightmare’ with Hamza Igamane transfer agreement
Rangers are set for a busy summer transfer window, given all that has happened around Ibrox in the past few months.
Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises have finally sealed their takeover, appointed Russell Martin and promised a huge transfer kitty to build a team in his own image.
Several first-team players could also be out the door to raise additional funds, and Hamza Igamane looks set to be the biggest of them all.

Igamane sale would be ‘tremendous bit of business’
Lille and Marseille are battling to sign Igamane with an offer of £14million already said to have been rejected at Ibrox.
Igamane performed well for the Gers in his debut season, scoring 16 goals in all competitions, although he admittedly took some time to get up to pace with the Scottish League.
However, Tam McManus has urged Rangers to accept the bid of any club willing to pay big bucks for the Moroccan after only one year, reminding them of past mistakes.
In a post on X, he wrote: “Never really got the hype with Igamane to be honest, great ability yes and flashes of quality but not athletic/quick enough for me.
“If Rangers can get £10-15m, it’s a tremendous bit of business. Surely learned lesson of the likes of Kent/Morelos and how to sell at the right time.”

Martin will have the final say over Igamane sale
Martin won’t have had much of an opportunity to run the rule over Igamane at Auchenhowie, but he’ll likely make the final decision over his sale.
The striker was bought for just £1.5million from FAR Rabat last summer, so any sale is likely to attract a tasty profit, which could be reinvested back into the squad as they aim to knock Celtic off their perch.

McManus was right to suggest that Rangers haven’t always been the best at selling players at their peak value in recent years.
He mentioned Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent as players who were allowed to stay for too long, leaving for nothing, and this is something that the Americans will not stand for moving forward.
It’s not clear whether now is the right time to sell Igamane, as he still has time to develop further. Still, all signs are pointing to him leaving Ibrox this summer, and Martin will be tasked with buying an even better striker, with funds available.
