Rangers ‘forget Igamane and Dessers’ as brand new multi-million striker transfer on cards

Rangers will soon be forced to forget Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers at Ibrox.

The Ibrox outfit looks likely to lose the two forwards, who notched 30 goals between them in the Scottish Premiership last season.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for Gers supporters, as Russell Martin and Co are set to be active in the transfer market to secure a replacement for big money.

Rangers eye Turgeman move amid exit latest

If the Gers lose both Dessers and Igamane, they will have to venture into the market for a new striker to lead the line.

Sky Sports Italy journalist Luca Bendoni has reported (26 June) that the Govan outfit are weighing up a £5million move to sign Dor Turgeman.

He states that the Light Blues could pounce for the Maccabi Tel Aviv star once they complete the sale of either one or both of the exit-linked duo.

Turgeman would help absorb Dessers and Igamane loss

Turgeman is a 21-year-old attacker who scored 20 goals in 44 matches last season, and his style of play would suit what Martin is trying to achieve at Auchenhowie.

The Israeli international is a versatile forward who brings intense pressing and clinical finishing, which would align perfectly with the new tactical blueprint in Govan.

Dessers has proven to be a frustrating figure at Rangers, whose constant prolificacy in front of the net often leaves supporters and pundits furious.

Meanwhile, Igamane struggled to adapt to Scottish football at first before breaking into the team, with Philippe Clement soon sacked after.

The Moroccan attacker was relegated to a back-up role under Barry Ferguson, who preferred the Nigerian as the man to lead his line.

If Turgeman joins and hits the ground running, he could make the expected sales of Dessers and Igamane look like a very smart move, especially given the cheap fee, when the Gers could haul in over £20m for the departing duo.

The Bears have done well plucking unknown stars from underrated markets before selling them on for profits or allowing them to shine in the first team, and the Maccabi Tel Aviv forward could be next.
