Matija Frigan ‘green signal’ emerges as Rangers to seal £6m transfer

Rangers have been linked with a move to sign Westerlo striker Matija Frigan this summer.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has gauged the 22-year-old’s fitness record ahead of a potential medical in the coming weeks.

The Croatian was a regular for his side last season, scoring 14 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.

The Westerlo striker is not expected to face issues with his medical, but may take some time to adapt to the Scottish game, according to Dr Brar.

Rangers are prepared to make a £6million bid for Frigan as they want the Croatian to lead the line next season. (Scottish Sun, 13 June)

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “Frigan was injury-free last season and started the majority of his team’s games and even played the full 90 minutes frequently.

“He’s not expected to face any issues when it comes to the medical.

However, the adaptation to new surroundings might take some time.

Rangers desperately need to sign a striker this summer

While Frigan appears to be a priority for Rangers, there are no guarantees whether or not they’ll successfully be able to get the deal over the line.

In case they fail to sign him, it is still imperative for the Ibrox outfit to bring in a new striker.

Cyriel Dessers appears to be close to a Rangers exit and his departure leaves a void in attack.

Danilo clearly has not done enough since moving to Glasgow, despite Gers spending big money on his transfer.
