Cantwell sends two-word message as Aarons transfer confirmed at Rangers
Tom Cantwell has shared a message with new Rangers man Max Aarons.
The Gers confirmed the signing of the Bournemouth right-back on Wednesday (25 June) on a loan deal, with no obligation to buy.
It a great start to business for new manager Russell Martin as the Light Blues look to put a miserable campaign last time out behind them.

Cantwell reacts as Aarons confirmed as Rangers player
Cantwell has a disappointing spell at Ibrox between January 2023 and August 2024, where he ultimately failed to live up to the hype.
He was a teammate of Aarons at Norwich, and both starred when the Canaries won promotion to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season.
The ex-Gers ace took to Instagram (25 June) to congratulate his former colleague, saying: “Unreal brother.”

Rangers will hope Aarons has a better impact than Cantwell
Cantwell’s signature was initially seen as a huge coup for Rangers, but ultimately, he would underwhelm in his time in Govan.
The Ex-Norwich star notched 14 goals and 12 assists in 64 matches for the Bears before he was sold to Blackburn for £600,000, a move which Keith Jackson blasted the Ibrox hierarchy for.

The Gers will hope that Aarons can have a better impact on their fortunes than Cantwell did in his time at Auchenhowie.
The 25-year-old has struggled to showcase his best form recently, but the switch to Scotland could revitalise his career and allow him to thrive.
If Aarons can perform and impress Martin in pre-season, he may knock James Tavernier out of the right-back slot that Gers fans were calling for him to give up last season.
For now, it will be a battle between the two, but given the captain’s advancing age and diminishing abilities, it it surely only a matter of time before the new signing earns a starting berth and potentially keeps hold of it for the rest of the campaign.
Whether the Gers can sign Aarons on a permanent deal remains to be seen, but a loan is a smart move that will allow them to assess his impact before committing significant funds to his signature.
