Robin Propper demands Martin meeting after Rangers transfer reveal
Robin Propper endured a disastrous campaign at Rangers and could already be set to return to the Netherlands.
Propper joined from FC Twente last summer under Philippe Clement, as an experienced defender who could offer leadership to the back line, but he did anything but.
Rangers embarked on a woeful season, and Propper was one of the poorest performers as he consistently made mistakes at Ibrox.
The Dutchman has been linked with a return to Twente, but Russell Martin will now have an important part to play in his future.

Propper to meet Martin to decide Rangers future
It has been reported that Twente are in talks to bring Propper back for a fee of around £1.5million, but a decision is yet to be made.
Rangers Review (24 June) have now shared that Propper has personally asked for face-to-face talks with Martin over his future in Glasgow, before deciding whether to return to Twente.

Twente are happy to wait for these talks to commence before pushing forward with a deal, and the decision may now rest with Martin as the players return to training.
Martin has previously hinted at a clean slate for the squad he inherited, but there is surely only one obvious decision to make over the centre-back.

Rangers must part ways with Propper
Propper fell down the pecking order by the end of the season, and was regarded as a liability by the Rangers fanbase.
Despite this, there is the potential for Rangers to recoup a significant chunk of the fee they paid for him, and for Propper to return to his former club in a clean exit from Ibrox.
Should Martin put a stop to this to keep him as a backup, there will be plenty of frustration in the fanbase, especially if the 31-year-old does not improve.
Rangers are reportedly in talks with Conor Coady, and Propper’s exit will facilitate his signing, and Martin must not allow this proposed deal to collapse despite the upcoming talks.
