Chris Jack shares Conor Coady update as Rangers to complete transfer within days
Leicester City defender Conor Coady may soon be presented at Ibrox as a new Rangers player.
Russell Martin wants the ex-Wolves ace to be signed by the Gers soon as he prepares for his first competitive game as a Gers manager.
With John Souttar a doubt for the Panathinaikos fixture, it makes sense for the 39-year-old head coach to want defensive reinforcements soon.
The Light Blues started their pre-season training on Monday (23 June), and the Leicester centre-back could potentially join his new teammates in a matter of days.

Rangers transfer for Coady looking positive as deal expected in coming days
Coady may sign for the Gers in the coming days, Chris Jack says.
The Scottish journalist revealed that things look positive regarding the English defender’s potential move to Ibrox during the ongoing transfer window.

Jack believes that the Light Blues won’t stop at reinforcing their backline with just one centre-back, and expects further additions this summer.
Speaking on The Rangers Review, the journalist said: “Coady will not be the last centre-half recruit over the course of this window. But it’s looking positive in terms of him actually becoming a Rangers player over the coming days.”
Martin needs Coady transfer at Ibrox
Leon Balogun’s departure from Ibrox, following the end of his contract, has left the Gers with a lack of options in defence.
The Nigerian ace was arguably the Light Blues’ best centre-back in the previous campaign, and most fans wouldn’t have been against his extended stay.
FC Twente are working on Robin Propper’s return after an underwhelming stint in Scottish football, with the Glaswegian outfit’s supporters not impressed by him.
Rangers struggled with fitness issues in their backline last season, forcing Barry Ferguson to play the likes of James Tavernier as a central defender.
Philippe Clement also had to rely on Clinton Nsiala and Dujon Sterling as his centre-backs on occasions, and that’s an area Martin will surely want more reinforcements in.
The defence should be the Gers’ priority in the ongoing transfer window, and Coady’s arrival will certainly be a big boost.
While the 32-year-old is in the latter stages of his career, he still possesses considerable quality and can undoubtedly contribute to the Bears’ short-term success.
The Ibrox faithful have the Leicester star’s singing to look forward to if Jack’s prediction is accurate.
