‘Rangers fans to fume with 49ers and Cavenagh’ as Cerny agent breaks silence
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises wouldn’t be making an error by signing Vaclav Cerny at Rangers once again this transfer window.
The 27-year-old joined the Gers on loan from Wolfsburg last summer and emerged as one of their best players in the previous campaign.
Cerny’s move to Ibrox could have been made permanent, but the Light Blues decided against it even before the takeover was officially announced.
Cyriel Dessers is attracting interest from AEK Athens, and if he leaves, the Glaswegian outfit will have lost two of their top goalscorers from last season, making the Czech Republic international’s returns arguably even more pivotal.

Cerny not in talks with Rangers over new transfer
Cerny and the Gers aren’t in talks over his return this summer from Wolfsburg, David Nehoda says.
The Czech star’s agent revealed that the forward will be back with the Bundesliga outfit once they begin their pre-season.
Nehoda claims that the 27-year-old hasn’t received any concrete offers yet, and all avenues remain open regarding his future.
Speaking via the Rangers Review (20 June), he said: “Cerny will be back in Wolfsburg in time for their start of training. We are currently not in talks with Rangers about a possible further collaboration. There is no concrete offer from any other club either. The summer transfer market window does continue for a long time, though, so everything remains possible.”

Cerny’s future is still open, and if Cavenagh and the 49ers don’t pursue his return to Ibrox, supporters will undoubtedly be fuming with the new owners.
The Czech national has proven to be a reliable attacking outlet for the Glaswegian outfit, and it wouldn’t make sense to try signing him again.
It would arguably require significant investment to secure the 27-year-old’s replacements at the Gers this summer, and there’s no guarantee that the new arrival will have a similar impact.
Russell Martin has got a massive task on his hands at Ibrox, and the Light Blues need to build a competitive team for the new manager before facing Panathinaikos in the Champions League qualifying rounds in July.

Martin should push 49ers and Cavenagh to sign Cerny
Rangers have also lost Ianis Hagi ahead of next season, and Kevin Thelwell should ensure they sign reliable reinforcements in the coming weeks.
The Gers have arguably made an error not keeping the Romania playmaker and Cerny despite their impressive displays last season, and now leave themselves short on quality up front.
While the new owners have promised significant investment at the Light Blues this summer, they have yet to sign someone for Martin.
The former Southampton manager will hope Thelwell gives him the right tools to work with soon, as fans expect immediate success at Ibrox, and a move for Cerny should be revisited.
