Shankland now spotted with Tavernier amid Rangers transfer news
Rangers supporters have every right to feel excited about the new season, with money in the bank and a new manager.
Russell Martin will have £20million to spend in the transfer market, and there has been endless talk of potential signings.
One player who has been linked with a move to Rangers is Hearts forward Lawrence Shankland.
Now, the Gers can get a taste of what the striker would look like in Rangers’ company after recent developments.

Rangers have been monitoring Shankland ahead of a potential move across Scotland from Edinburgh to Glasgow.
However, the 29-year-old is in demand this summer and will have a range of options if he leaves Tynecastle.
West Brom, Southampton, and Hull City have all been linked with the Scot, who is out of contract at the end of the month.
Lawrence Shankland’s 2024/25 Scottish Premiership statistics | Total |
Appearances | 32 |
Goals | 8 |
Goal conversion | 9% |
Assists | 8 |
Touches | 38.3 |
Accurate passes | 16.4 (71%) |
Now, Shankland has been pictured in the company of Rangers full-back James Tavernier during the pair’s summer break.
Tavernier shared an image on his Instagram story (19 June) alongside Shankland and several other professionals on a pitch.
The pair were training with performance coach Chris Bowman ahead of the new season, along with Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier.

Shankland would bring goals to Rangers
At 29, Shankland has a significant decision on his hands as he prepares to leave Hearts at the end of June.
The striker did not enjoy his best season in Edinburgh by any means, contributing eight goals in 32 Scottish Premiership appearances. However, he has demonstrated his prowess in front of goal in the past and still has something to offer.
The Glasgow-born man has bagged 53 goals and 21 assists in 138 Scottish Premiership appearances. Furthermore, he has scored 20 or more league goals in five separate league seasons, two of those in the top flight.
Of course, his numbers have dropped this season. However, playing for a better side would be bound to aid his cause.
