Conor Coady ‘craving for Rangers transfer’ as Ibrox move needed
Leicester City centre-back Conor Coady could potentially be on the move to Rangers this summer transfer window.
Leon Balogun has left Ibrox after an impressive season, and the Gers arguably need a replacement for the veteran defender.
Russel Martin could sign Coady after being appointed as the Light Blues’ manager, with the 32-year-old’s current contract expiring next year.
The Bears arguably need to bolster their backline in the coming weeks, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the England international make his way to Glasgow.

Rangers transfer for Coady makes perfect sense after recent struggles
Coady’s potential move to the Gers makes perfect sense as they lack leadership in their squad, Graeme Young says.
The Daily Record journalist believes the 32-year-old will add quality to the Light Blues’ backline, which shipped in 41 goals in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Young feels Coady may be craving a move to Ibrox, as he’s struggled in recent seasons at Leicester City and Everton after playing a key role at Wolves.

Speaking on Game On (13 June), the journalist said: “I think it makes a ton of sense because Rangers are lacking in proper leadership. This guy is very capable.
“I think [Coady] is craving a move like Rangers as well in the sense that he had a key role at Wolves and it’s not quite…”
Martin should push for Coady at Ibrox
Coady’s prospective move to Ibrox may have its naysayers, but a player of his experience will undoubtedly be able to help the Gers next season.
While the 32-year-old isn’t getting any younger, his Premier League exploits will arguably come in handy in G51.
FC Twente are working on Robin Propper’s return to the Eredivisie this summer, which will leave Martin with a lack of options at the back.
John Souttar has been the go-to centre-back for Rangers in recent campaigns, but his current contract will enter its final year soon.
Clinton Nsiala has shown promise at Ibrox, but the former AC Milan youngster still has a lot to learn before being a nailed-on starter.
Dujon Sterling deputised at centre-back for the Gers on a few occasions this season, but his consistent fitness issues are concerning.
The Light Blues should prioritise signing new defenders this summer, and Coady could potentially be one of the incomings, although whether they can afford his wages remains to be seen.
