Martin amazed in behind-the-scenes Rangers footage as conversation overheard
Russell Martin is settling into his new job after being appointed as the new boss of Rangers.
The former Southampton manager wasn’t everyone’s favourite choice for the Ibrox hotseat, but he is now tasked with the feat of knocking Celtic off their perch at the top of Scottish football.
He’ll be backed by a significant transfer war chest, after the club’s takeover by a US-led consortium, but he still has one hefty job on his hands. Rangers finished 17 points behind Celtic in the SPL this season.

Martin amazed by new revelation at Rangers HQ
The new manager hasn’t been responsible for any new arrivals at Ibrox yet, although Rangers have been linked with some big-name players.
Even so, he would appear to be nicely settling into Glasgow life.
As reported by the Daily Mail (12 June), behind-the-scenes footage showed Martin getting his first glance of his side’s new kits for next season at Edmonton House last week.
He seemed particularly impressed at his sneak peek of the blue home shirts and white away strips, both designed by Umbro.
The footage showed him signing some shirts before the cameras overheard him declaring he would have to take some junior shirts home to his children.
Martin won’t have long to make a good first impression on Rangers fans
All this PR for an incoming manager is nothing new these days.
Clubs like Rangers will have a whole social media team responsible for making their new manager look as appealing as possible.
It’s a nice Easter egg for hardcore fans who can’t get enough of their club.

Still, Martin is experienced enough to know that he’ll live or die by his results.
Martin was a controversial choice for the Rangers hotseat in some people’s eyes, and these fans might not have patience if his team don’t hit the ground running.
Martin needs to make some big decisions in the transfer market in the coming weeks, and ensure that his side is ready for a flying start to the new Scottish Premiership season.
Otherwise, the overall sentiment toward him could turn quickly, no matter how many fluffy videos are released by the club’s media team.
