Rangers in hunt to sign ‘technically gifted’ centre-mid who’ll cost 49ers £5m
Rangers will be hopeful of a positive window of activity under the 49ers.
The Gers are entering a new era in Govan after being taken over by a US consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh before Russell Martin came in as head coach.
With the fresh look in the G51 club’s hierarchy, fans will be hoping for changes on the pitch ahead of the new Scottish Premiership season.
This could be set to kick off with the signing of a £5million-rated midfielder as the summer window looms at Ibrox.

Rangers in £5m race for midfield star
It is fair to say that the Light Blues had a largely dreadful season last time out, which needs to be quickly forgotten about.
A number of frustrating results ultimately led to the departure of Philippe Clement, but the transfer business of his side didn’t help the Belgian’s future.
This saw Nedim Bajrami come in for a sizable £3.4m fee alongside the likes of Robin Propper, with both failing to have a positive impact for the Bears.
As a result, this upcoming window has to start and end in much better fashion than 12 months ago, and that could set to be the case.
The summer could be set to kick off with the signing of Lennon Miller as the Sunday People (8 June, page 57) reported Rangers’ interest.
The “technically gifted controller” is said to have a market value of £5m and has already caught the eye of the Gers, Celtic, Sunderland and Serie A side, Atalanta.
After such a positive campaign for the Scotland international with Motherwell, a deal could be struck at Ibrox as the 49ers look to start their reign in the right way.

Rangers could agree Miller deal
Without the American investment, there may have been little chance of splashing such a sizable fee on a teenager ready for the new season.
This could be set to change under the watchful eye of Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe, who will be keen to show their intent in the coming weeks and months.
The signing of Miller could prove to be the perfect way to do so, given how highly rated the Scot is throughout the Premiership.

Having already made 76 appearances at such a young age, he could prove to be a perfect option alongside the likes of Nico Raskin and Connor Barron in the Light Blues’ midfield next year.
