‘Rangers on transfer mission to sign Vicente Pizarro’ as official jets out
Rangers’ transfer business can finally get underway as Russell Martin looks set to become the new manager at Ibrox.
It had been reported that Rangers could not do any major transfers until a manager was signed.
However, this stumbling block looks set to be cleared as Martin’s announcement as Rangers’ manager is imminent.
As a result, transfer rumours are rife at Ibrox, with the Gers considering a move for Vicente Pizarro.

Rangers to send scouts to Chile v Argentina to watch Vicente Pizarro
Rangers have been linked to numerous players over the past few months. However, none may be as exciting as Pizarro.
The Chilean international is seen as a bright upcoming star in South America.
In the Chilean Primera Division, the 22-year-old has already won numerous honours with Colo-Colo, including a top division title.

Now, according to reports, Rangers are interested in bringing Pizarro to Ibrox this summer.
En Cancha (3 June) states that the Gers have sent scouts to watch the midfielder at the Chile vs Argentina World Cup qualifiers.
The report says that Pizarro could leave Colo-Colo in the coming months after his outstanding season.
The youngster’s performance in the match is said to be key to his future as a bad display could put the Gers off the signing.
With the scouts flying all the way out to Chile to watch the midfielder, they are no doubt on a mission to see if Pizarro is good enough to sign for Rangers.

Pizarro link shows potential change in transfer policy for Rangers
In recent years, it has been rare for Rangers to dip into the South American market.
While Jefte was signed from Fluminense last summer, he was a known player in Europe after his spell at Cypriot side APOEL.
Pizarro’s links to Rangers could show that the Gers are prepared to undergo a transfer policy change.
The 49ers have worked under a buy-low, sell-high structure at Leeds United which has seen them return to the Premier League.
Now, this could be coming into play at Ibrox, with the South American market seen as one of the best places to find upcoming stars for a bargain price.
