Leicester City and Martin update emerges as Rangers manager search drags on
Russell Martin remains the frontrunner to become the next Rangers manager.
With the 49ers Enterprises completing their takeover at Ibrox over the last week, Rangers are just one step away from being able to kick on with their summer recruitment plans, though it is the biggest step that remains.
The Light Blues are still without a permanent manager ever since the sacking of Barry Ferguson, with a whole host of names linked to Ibrox over the last few weeks.
With that said, the Gers have been edging closer to the appointment of Martin, with a new twist emerging in the race to appoint the ex-Southampton boss.

Martin set to snub interest amid Ibrox update
Despite failing to keep Southampton up in the Premier League, Martin hasnt been short of potential suitors since his sacking.
The 39-year-old has been namedroped alongside several clubs, including Leicester City, who, according to talkSPORT, are set to be snubbed in favour of a move to Ibrox.

MK Dons | 1.38 |
His appointment is still expected to be announced in Glasgow, but having been without a permanent manager since February, the chase to appoint someone has certainly been dragging on.
With Kevin Thelwell also now in post at Ibrox, Martin’s appointment would allow Rangers to start their summer transfer business, which will play a deciding role in the success that they can find next season.

Rangers have no time to waste this summer
With the transfer window now open, Rangers will be keen to start their summer business, and if they are to have any hope of competing with Celtic, they need to get the decisions right.
With the takeover completed and a manager set to be appointed, they have no excuse to be dragging their heels in the window, and with a lot of work to be done, they can’t afford to waste any time.
Recruiting new talent at Ibrox will be crucial, and with Martin set to be appointed, they need to show some ambition, with a huge few months ahead in Glasgow.
