Inter Milan to play major role in new Rangers manager as San Siro offers made
Inter Milan could kick start a domino effect that could impact Rangers in the hunt for a new head coach.
The Gers are continuing their search for a manager after the departure of Barry Ferguson from his temporary spell in charge in G51.
This has contunued with many weeks and has even coencided with the takeover agreement from Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers enterprises.
Although many felt as if the race for a new boss would shortly end after the US consortium’s announcement, Inter Milan could make a move that could see the process carry on for even longer.

Inter Milan to have telling impact in Rangers manager hunt
There has been no shortage of managers linked with the vacant role at Ibrox after the departure of Philippe Clement.
The most recent link has seen Russell Martin mooted with a potential return to Govan after departing Southampton in December.
The Englishman has been similarly met by a mixed reception to another key target, Davide Ancelotti, who has seen his name in the running for many weeks.
With the Italian leaving his role as assistant at Real Madrid, the Italian emerged as an option for the Light Blues, despite a deal not yet going through.
Years | Club |
2016-17 | Bayern Munich |
2018-19 | Napoli |
2019-21 | Everton |
2021-25 | Real Madrid |
Although this looked close at one stage, it now appears that a move to Como could once again be on the cards for Ancelotti.
This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported (3 June) that the Lariani could be set to lose their current boss, Cesc Fabregas, to Inter Milan after offers were made at the San Siro over potential new managers.
If the Spaniard were to make a move across Serie A, the Gers could be left scuppered in their hunt for a manager as the ex-Bayern Munich coach may prefer a move to his homeland.
Rangers could be beaten to Ancelotti appointment
There is no doubt that missing out on the Italian would prove to be yet another disappointment for the Ibrox faithful.
This wouldn’t necessarily be due to the quality of the coach, but rather the notion that the new 49ers regime would start on a negative note.
With the recruitment process already taking so long, it makes sense to hold out for the perfect appointment, whether that be Ancelotti or not.
Martin could also represent a positive appointment, but whatever happens, Inter Milan could have a telling impact in Govan.
